PASSION:  I am deeply passionate about two things; craftsmanship and client relations. My passion for craftsmanship stems from a love for all things wood and a desire to sustain our natural resources. My passion for client relations is a desire to partner with my clients in order to tailor make cabinetry or furniture that suits their specific needs.

The Heritage Home Story

Steven Howard, Heritage Home’s founder, chief carpenter and designer, began his 3-decade long woodworking career at the age of 21 as a residential framing carpenter for a major Southern California framing contractor.  As an all around carpenter and member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Steven garnered valuable and significant experience in nearly every aspect of residential construction and the assembly of frameworks for homes, apartment buildings, and condominiums.

In 1995, Steven joined his brother Bill’s home remodeling company which specialized in  highly-complex renovations requiring extensive framing, plumbing, electrical, custom cabinetry, and other related work.  During this time, Steven discovered he had a love and affinity for custom cabinetry and bespoke furniture.  In addition, clients were excited about his unique cabinet and furniture designs, elegant artistry, and flair for combining creativity with functionality.       
As a result, in 2001, he solely founded Howard Woodworking and Cabinetry as a professional, creative and artistic outlet for his distinctive cabinetry and furniture.    

Following the recession of 2008, during which new home construction and remodeling activity ground to a halt, Steven took a brief hiatus from woodworking to become one of the region’s highly sought after handyman and assisted homeowners and property managers with a broad range of home repair and improvement projects. In 2010, he rebranded as Heritage Home and repositioned to once again focus solely on custom cabinetry and furniture design.  Since then, Heritage Home has become “the source” for high quality furniture and cabinetry in Brevard County and now worldwide.  

Now in it’s 10th year of operation, Heritage Home is a very popular place for custom cabinetry and exclusive furniture pieces that cannot be found online or in any showroom because each and every project is unique to you. Steven enjoys partnering with his clients to design projects that suit their tastes and their specifications.  Ultimately adding that special flare to your home or office.
